Our cars are ideal for exploring the island and the fleet includes both automatic and manual transmission vehicles

We offer a personal local service to customers from home and abroad.

We meet all of our customers upon arrival at the ferry terminal in Armadale as courtesy. You will receive your vehicle clean and valeted and with a full tank of fuel.

Rental price is inclusive of VAT, insurance and unlimited mileage.

Please note that there is an insurance excess per our terms and conditions.

All of our vehicles are maintained to industry standard by a team of qualified technicians at MacGillivray Motors Ltd

We go over the basic controls and operation of the vehicle upon collection and we are happy to take the time to answer any questions you might have.

We make every effort to provide the exact make and model reserved, but it may be that a similar, or better, vehicle will be offered.

We ask that all our vehicles be returned to Armadale.

We are happy to advise on onward travel connections to other destinations on the island and beyond.

I was pleasantly surprised by the outstanding customer service at DriveSkye on the Isle of Skye! They met me right off the ferry in Armadale, handing over the car key early on a Saturday morning. The car performed flawlessly despite the island's rugged roads. Returning it was a breeze - just parked by the ferry and left the key inside. Affordable pricing too.

Angela and Alisdair were wonderful to deal with. We sorted everything out by e-mail 5-6 months prior to our trip and everything was spot on for when we arrived. Our train was running late, which meant we had to take a later ferry but I informed them in advance and they were there to greet us at Armadale no issues. 2 day car hire, returned to Kyle of Lochalsh. The car was spacious (perfect for a family of 5), easy to drive and clean - had a few clutch issues, but after seeing the potholes on the road we can understand why!! Thanks guys, we’d definitely hire with you again if we’re ever back in the area

I fully recommend booking a car through Drive Skye, this was hands down the best car rental experience I have had. They had the best price (half the cost of renting a similar car in Fort William) and the service was excellent and friendly. Ali met us at the Armadale Ferry terminal just as we walked off, was patient in explaining a few of the car's features, and then we were off. Dropping off the car at the ferry terminal was just as easy. Nice car too!
